General Cards

#13
I got the idea for this one on the Internet. I used two different bkgd stamps (polka dot and musical). I used a note punch for the red note and the greeting is yet another stamp. This one is my sample as I messed up in the upper right hand corner.

#14

I am going to add a different strawberry to the top of the cupcakes because the one I used doesn't show up enough. I like the cards however. It could be a birthday card, an appreciation card, or others I'm sure you'll think of.
I used real sprinkles for the decoration on the "frosting" and used Glossy Accents to adhere them.
The paper I used was from DCWV called "The Sweet Stack". It is a 12 X 12 collection.

Week 4 Day 4

#12

I used my new Sizzix embossing machine and embossed the basic card using Cuttlebug embossing folder "Perfectly Paisley". I used orange as the "one of a kind" element, as suggested earlier this week (using the opposite color on the color wheel).

Week 4 Day 3

#11
I really like the looks of Lisa's card today and wanted to try a painted bkgd using Hero Arts white embossing ink. I painted the bkgd with Ranger's Distress inks, broken china, stormy sky, and peeled paint. Then I gave it a quick squirt of Perfect Pearl to give it a little shine.

I'm so sad this class is almost over. I'm having such a wonderful time experimenting.

I was experimenting with my new Hero Arts white embossing ink. (My old brand darkened when heated.) I also tried tone on tone inking using Hero Hues Chalk ink Cerulean.

Week 4 Day 2

#10
I tried the clear middle similar to the video that Jennifer shared with us this morning. It was fun. I spilled a little water on the top and it puckered a little. I will do another card later and use this one as my sample card. It was fun.
The next card I'll use a little narrower strip on my butterfly border punched piece also.

Week 4 Day 1

#9

I decided to make a pop-up card with most of this week's colors. I added sandpaper for a fun element and it's still a neutral.

Wiper Card

#8
I used your Wiper Card idea to make a card making party invitation. On the front it says "Ready for fun?" On the pop up it has the information. I love this idea. It can be used for so many different ideas. Thank you for sharing Cricut Love.

Week 3 Day 5

# 7

At first I posted this with one butterfly but, when I saw it published, I realized it needed something more. I then added the additional butterflies.

Week 3 Day 2 A

#3
I made a second card using the opening idea from today's video. I added some real sand and a red flag to the sand castle. There is a place inside where a sentiment can go and not show when closed.

Week 3 Day 2

# #2
Boy, Jennifer makes this look easy. Do I ever need a LOT of practice and the right color inks. This is a fun card to make.

Week 3 Day 1

# 1
I stamped the bkgd with a wood grain stamp. I used cork behind the sentiment. I also used black instead of white as a neutral as I wanted the center to look like a hole in the tree. I used colored pencils to color in the bird, branch and berries and added with 3-D dots.

Week 2 days 3 & 4

This card goes for both day 3 and day 4 because I paid attention to contrast with my paper patterns and their sizes and I also made my embellishment by starting with all white flowers . I used papers from a 6 X 6 Mini Deck from Cosmo Cricket--"Garden Variety".
The really dark paper is green, not black as it looks in this picture.

Usually I don't know where a paper comes from as I have them in drawers by color and out of their original packaging. The Mini Decks I usually keep together.

Week 2 Day 2

I heat embossed the flowers and then painted them with distress inks. I think I'll go back and add some faux stitching around the white part of the card.
